A Happy New Year
The Magical Christmas Day is now behind us and the effects of the F1 Hoverpod® Ltd annual party are for now somewhere in the distance to the rear but looming on the horizon is the event to which I for one always show preference to which is the binging in of a New Year.
The members and colleagues at the F1 Hoverpod® group all look forward to making a new year’s resolution to which by February almost 90% will have reverted back to old habits and ways as they did last year.
There is a very serious side to the team at F1 Hoverpod® Ltd to which much of the focus is upon the world famous F1 Hoverpod® Racing team who are as we speak preparing the ground for strategy and technique for the upcoming year. As with Most Motor Sports and Hoverpod® pilot and his crew have to be up to the job to which demands a regime of physical fitness in order to cope with the stress’s when racing and because of the way a Hoverpod® has the ability to travel across almost any flat surface at super fast speed, this creates extra commitment on the body to which some lesser Motor Sports don’t necessarily require, the result being that a sport such as F1 Hoverpod® Racing can provide all the excitement of traditional Motor Sport with the extra thrills and demands such as high speed action on Ice, Snow, Mud or even Sand.
The New Year brings in some new members to the F1 Hoverpod® Ltd Management Board of Control as well as some expected announcements in relation to developments at F1 Hoverpod® Racing of which is extremely exciting and will have some official announcements in the spring.
For now, we are but a few days away from the New Years Eve celebrations and we have a skeleton team in over the festive period, much of the staff are enjoying an extended period away with family and friends and we should all be back together to welcome the new year in (albeit a little early) for some team bonding and social activities on Thursday, I’m sworn to secrecy as to where the bash is happening as we always have gate crashers wishing to join in and as such we keep this a closely guarded secret.
All it leaves me left to do is Wish You All A Happy New Year and to Look Forward To Welcoming You All Back In The New Year.

Christmas with F1 Hoverpod Ltd
The Christmas party is now behind us at and for now the dust has settled, allbeit not for long. The whole at the F1 Hoverpod Ltd group of companies are on a well earned break and I would like to be the first to congratulate them on a successhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.giffull year and just to say how proud I am of the who team for the effort they have all made.
The build up for this years Christmas party was at best situation of who will survive the night the longest and for others a case of "not again". smiley

There was a great feel about the last two weeks before Christmas when the team took to dressing up in costumes relating the a Christmas theme and Colin (in a world of his own) for whatever reason decided that a 6' tall bright pink fairy was his theme, although the hairy chest told it's own story. smiley
There will be some exciting news announcements in the early part of the year and I will post these as soon as I have the approvement to do so from the press office and the enquiries regarding the potential new office in a far away place is something I will update you all about in the new year but for the time being all I can say is that I cannot confirm or deny it at this stage, stay tuned and all will become clear in good time.

F1 Hoverpod Racing @ Christmas
Well the end of the year has arrived and the snow is in the distance on the hills and the nights are simply freezing. Yesterday was the official party of the F1 Hoverpod Ltd team and the photos showing on the Facebook site are worthy of a view but be warned if you suffer from a nervous dis-possition.
The office is now closing down for the festive period although strangely the team are winding up ready for the bar on the way home. However, it's Christmas and good spirits run a bit over the top at this time of year and after so much dedication and commitment by all, who can deny the team some light releif.
It just leaves me with the final task of wishing you all a pleasant and safe time over the festive period and a "Very Merry Christmas" from all at F1 Hoverpod Ltd

F1 Hoverpod Racing is a brand new Motorsports concept.
The Hoverpod vehicle is a small light form of personal transport which is designed to travel across most types of flat surface as diversified as land, snow, water, ice, sand and even mud. The advantage of a Hoverpod over other types of conventional transport is that it actually flies at approximately 3-6” off the surface area in which it is travelling, floating on a cushion or vacuum of low pressure air. This creates a form of lift from the static area to which it sits, the result being a complete reduction in friction and drag and as such the surface footprint is reduced to zero.
As a Hoverpod has many focus points of interest and uses, the ability to Hover in a single location and travel without contact with the earth provides many features that are of interest to specific markets such as rescue and military. The ability to rotate through 360% without the need to move forward provides for a very accurate solution to stopping a vehicle in a designated area with which a specific need to target the exact point of parking with pinpoint accuracy is something to which is a feature to which is almost unique to the Hoverpod.
Because of the inherent design features of the Hoverpod are centred around the low pressure lift system, it allows for relatively heavy weights and loads to be moved with very limited propulsion or forward thrust. This is a beneficial feature that allows limited use for transporting heavy loads at high speed’s with the additional feature of providing a safe form of transportation.
The vehicle is a two person craft with the F1 Hoverpod series reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph from 4-stroke bespoke engines.
Unlike other Motorsports, the vehicles are designed to enable high levels of participation. The only difference between the basic Hoverpod and the F1 Hoverpod appears to be engine size and materials employed, making the F1 Hoverpod faster and requiring greater skills to control and better teamwork.
Modified craft exist for recreation, racing and emergency use.
The F1Hoverpod group of companies are UK based (Sheffield) and divisions include Racing, Manufacture and Merchandise.

Just a few words to Wish All Of Our Fans And Supporters A Very Merry Christmas.
We look forward to hearing from you all in the new year through the blogs and forum and hoping you all have a safe and enjoyable time through the festive period.
The winter in the northern hemesphere rather crept up withought warning this year and for some of us, it rather caught us out. However, where the weather is a problem for most vehicles, for the Hoverpod it simply provides us with an opportunity and a challenge. Many people are aware of the uniques features of the Hoverpod but often overlook it’s ability to be used in the winter. Because of it’s unique ability to travel at high speed over a cushion of air, it allows the product to fly across water, ice, snow and even land. Whilst this provides for excellent fun for the leisure market, it also provides for a very serious rescue vehicle with some very unique features.
The new year will provide some new challanges with the European Markets showing difficult times and the USA heading toward an election year, the far East begining to feel the effects of the recession from the west and the Middel East going through a difficult period. However, Christmas is a period of positive thought and an opportunity to provide us all with an excuse to smile and look forward to better times, it also allows us an opportunity to reflect on the those less fortunate than ourselves.
We at F1 Hoverpod Racing pride ourselves on a blief that prejudice should be a think of the past and that we are all here to share our time together on planet earth in a peacefull and caring sharing way and to that end we wish you all a Very Happy Christmas no matter where you are in the world.

Sometimes the breakthroughs are coming in many different guises and some are from the most unexpected and unpredicted ways, some were even right out of the blue.
The basic and honest truth about hull technology is not really surrounded in secrecy and in many ways is not really a myth, as the reality is that designers have in general two major obstacles to overcome. They vary in many ways quite dramatically and range from strength of structure through to shape and overall efficiency. The strength of the hull is in many ways the simple one to explain as it really is quite simply what it says on the tin. It's focussed directly about rigidity and the suitability to perform to the very maximum potential to provide the consumer with a product of quality and with a long lasting vehicle but as I have reported previously, there are still many so called "professional built craft" to which have declared their admission of a weakness in the structure by re-enforcing the failure areas or weak spots with stick on re-enforcement patches similar to a Band Aid. This cheap method of masking over the product not only spoil the whole aesthetic look of the product but also have very little if any overall beneficial effect on the ability to provide strength, as the real issue and problem is that the whole shape provides for a too far obtrusive collision point that is simply masking over the failure area in order to provide a stronger impact resistance which is not true. The only real problem solver is a total re-shape of the structure in order to eradicate and remove the problem at manufacture process. "After all", a larger crash bar on the front of a vehicle does not prevent a crash, it simply provides a bigger target area in which to make contact with.
. There are lots of things to consider before designing any hull and this includes Hoverpod and once again those questions posed are quite varied and wide but in almost all general terms one should always consider what the exact application and purpose of the craft is going to be designed to achieve. Is the purpose or use a for a "Grand Touring Vehicle" or for a multipurpose use and will the product require some more specialist modification treatment for the specialist applications such as racing. Whilst most hovercraft are able to travel at rapid speeds when required to do so, the shape of the hull can create issues for racing where they are of benefit for long distance travel such as a GT model.
The focus and extreme emphasis in which the F1 Hoverpod Manufacture team has placed as a priority has seen a combination of both strength and shape as the requirement for the "Manx GT" and without trade off. News from the Home of Hoverpod Racing
News up date from The Formula Hoverpod Racing Camp
It's all go in 2011 for all the racing events with the F1 associated names attached. The highly prestigious Motor Car event kicked off with an unpredicted controversy surrounding it as one would expect with the unrest in the Middle East and the subsequent outcome of the Bahrain race been thrown into confusion and then a confirmation of rescheduling the race. This was great news for all Motor Sport fans who enjoy the wonderful and spectacular event to which the Bahrain circuit provides.
The F1 Power Boat series is about to make history by staging its first race in Europe and will be held in Portugal at Portimão on the estuary on the River Arade and despite the economic situation of recession in Portugal, this should turn out to be a great event for spectators and visitors to Portugal seeking some kind of excitement. These small but very powerful machines are a real excitement to watch and being staged on a tidal river will provide a real test for the drivers who turn out on the 29-29th May 2011 to provide the supporters with some real thrills.
The little known but equally exciting F1 Air Racing season started in my old home town of Reno Nevada in the USA. Whilst it's not so well documented outside of the USA which I for one feel is a crying shame, I can confirm to all and everyone that this event is equally as exciting as all the others and a real treat to go and watch. The F1 Air Race takes place in Reno and has an added edge to create a gasp of fear for the spectators as these almost acrobatic pilots fly at up to 300 mph and use technology provided by NASSA to develop the power plant is provided in a standard Cessna aircraft from 100-150 mph to the 300 mph barrier. All of this takes place whilst dodging the mountain terrain and swooping down into the valley where the spectators can almost stretch out and touch the pilot.
There is even a F1 Motor Cycle Race today which has been running with major following from all over the world. The bikes are able to reach super fast speeds in excess of 200 mph and whilst having global coverage, I think it would be fair to say that Spain has embraced all forms of Motor Bike Racing including F1 Motor Cycle racing as almost its own as the support for it is simply huge and could be described as a national sport.
F1 Sail is a yachting event which is a very specialist event and mainly focussed upon the centres of Europe, USA and the Middle East and the support for this event is growing fast. It is a highly technical event and not focussed so much upon high speed as technical ability and the reality is that skills and tactical thinking are makes this event so competitive. It could be describes as a race for Gentlemen and ladies and these comments are purely complementary.
Finally we come to F1 Hoverpod Racing which is a newest member to take up the challenge of F1 and is focussed directly upon the sport of Hoverpod Racing. We have a good following from all four continents and have several advantages over other motor sport as we are rarely effected by the weather. It could almost be said that adverse conditions such as ice, snow or wind creates for more testing and spectacular racing and as Hoverpod Racing has the advantage of low cost and divers circuits, we like to think we have something more to offer than traditional motor sport. Technology News from F1 Hoverpod Racing
Spring 2011
Summer has finally arrived in the UK and for all those in Europe and in part most of the world "The Clocks Go Forward One Hour This Weekend". There is always the few exceptions to whom follow the rest of us in a couple of days. All that this means is a symbol to the Northern Hemisphere that at long last summer is on its way after the long hard winter and this always provides for a good feeling inside. The opposite to this is that its tough luck you for you guys in the Southern Hemisphere where the winter days will soon be upon you and the nights draw in and the days simply become shorter. For those on the border between North and South or in the middle somewhere, I suppose it's quite a bit more boring but with the knowing that its business as usual. Anyway, What this means for the team at F1 Hoverpod Racing, all it means is that the long sunny days are here and the main reason to find excuses for progress has just diminished.
The comments posted on the blogs in the "Leave a comment" section and often found in the inbox on our e-mail keeps reminding us that we really do have so many interested parties and supporters out there that clearly have an keen interest in the technology and sometimes the questions are far more in-depth and complex than the answer and it's not always that easy to admit it, sometimes the questions are so complicated that we have to refer them to our technical department (Brains) for the full and very often complicated answer. "Is this an admission that I'm not that smart, I hope not".
The problems and questions that are normally offered are usually based around the 21st century topic of reduction in Emissions and how it can be achieved ?. The often simple truth is that we have managed to adapt what is in reality a quite old and often overlooked technology but put through a very rigorous modification process in order that the combustion of fuel is at a greater temperature and the result is that 80% of the pollutants are simple burned away in the process. There are many benefits of doing this under controlled conditions and one of these is that the engine carbon deposits and often harmful pollutants deposits are drastically reduced which provides a more fuel efficient power plant with fewer service intervals and requirements due to the reduction and build up of soot.
The area of attention to which F1 Hoverpod Manufacture will be researching and focussing its efforts toward developing in the near future will be the silencer and emission extractor system where all the emphasis will be upon the reduction in sound and the recycling of waste gasses. There is a real potential to increase the power even further with the use of re-cycling excess gasses.
I hope this now provides a satisfactory answer to the questions posed and to which the petrol heads have sent over in such numbers. It must be appreciated that the full and exact process is something to which is Top Secret and I am not permitted to discuss as this is a confidential piece of technology but the result is what you required clarification upon and to that end the result is as always a "Win Win" for the public who purchase or have access to a Hoverpod.

Today I am permitted to share some announcements regarding engine technology and the partners involved in the systems used. Let's start this blog with the exciting news that I have been officially approved to share with you all. Toxic emissions are down and useable power up. The extensive testing and in-depth research to which has been conducted and demanded over a 12 month period within Europe has used some brand new technology that has been specifically designed to improve and increase the power output on the "Manx GT" which will be provided with a 85bhp twin cylinder engine that is very efficient and capable of reducing emissions by up to 80% over conventional four stroke engines. This has a major feature of reduced service intervals due to lack of carbon build up and more efficient fuel chamber and combustion burning process . This is a world first and for Hovercraft is a 100% unique feature that is exclusive to the Hoverpod and as we have been saying for a while, "Rome was not built in a day" and patience and persistence will always provide a positive result in the end. In F1 Hoverpod Racing's case, it's provided a World Beating Result to which when launched will take the Hoverpod into a different league.
At this point, I need to share with you a few words about our technology partners. The first of these is a world beating engine manufacturer and power plant technology centre that provided a platform of testing and "Grade A" research teams that is in a class of its own. The fuel system has undergone extensive development and testing, once again this was within Europe and the UK in order to develop an engine management software system that provides the maximum benefits in order to create the perfect solution for balance and power. The fuel efficiency combined with the power provided by the engine technology brings together a perfect harmony of instant response and super efficient emission reduction. "Once again, this is a world first for F1 Hoverpod".
The fuel storage tank and refuelling system has been developed by a co-operating between a the World's Number One within this key area who specialise in this light weight materials design who's development team is based in Norway. This Partnership and collaboration had a working budget of over $5m in order to produce this unique system and F1 Hoverpod Ltd will be the very first vehicle in the world to use this system on a production vehicle. The result of this combination in which the customer is the beneficiary is a super light and very versatile craft that has class beating power ratios and a world beating emission reduction. "Wow".
It only leaves the team at F1 Hoverpod Manufacture Ltd with one a single thing left to do and for us to do and is the most important one of all. News from the F1 Hoverpod Camp
The world has become a very strange place to be in over the last few months with many natural disasters ranging from Major Snow Storms in the East of the USA through to Life Changing Floods in Australia, followed by major political upheaval in several countries within the Middle East. Wow, has anyone else noticed just how many situations have changed in such a relatively short period of time in early 2011.
This brings me nicely to the developments at F1 Hoverpod Ltd that have increased in and strengthened its Management Team and developed some new systems associated with logistics and manufacture partner relationships. I'm cleared or permitted to publish too much on this sensitive subject just now although be prepared for some major and very exciting announcements over the next few months.
Through the long Winter Months at the F1 Hoverpod group of companies, there has been lots of very positive developments in relation to technical advancement and real time testing at the F1 Hoverpod Manufacture Team. The advantage of the adverse weather gave the team a good excuse...... "er" reason to conduct some testing indoors despite the ability to take snow, ice or most weather conditions in its stride.
For those Eagle Eyed Blog Readers amongst you, you will have noted that we have teamed up with several editorial and publishing companies as well as some interesting video footage recently posted showing how helpful a Hovercraft can be when permitted to demonstrate its ability.

The Latest with F1 Hoverpod Racing
The Latest Progress with F1 Hoverpod® Racing
The Team at F1 Hoverpod® Ltd prides itself on sharing the knowledge and developments surrounding the project and as we progress forward we will share this information with you. This provides you all with a clearer understanding and the emphasis demanded upon quality of product and materials used in the Hoverpod. All of this is what goes into providing a Class Beating Product and the "World's Number One Hoverpod®".
The very latest developments have taken over 3 years of research into the composite materials and testing these to their very limits. The result was a major breakthrough in the fibre weave technology of which produced some extremely surprising outcomes. The result of was a 100% all new hull structure that produced a never to have been used before fibre method that provides the Hoverpod® with a structure that will last and last for a long time to come. There is no need for any of those ugly reinforced patches as on lesser or inferior products but instead is a structure designed to stand the test of time. Its major strength is provided by the use of composite materials used and the breakthrough that has caused all the surrounding interest is the super light weight and very durable structure and as we all know, light weight is very crucial when racing craft are concerned as power to weight ratio is a major factor in developing maximum and efficient power output.
The Power Plant and Engine Technology is something of which F1 Hoverpod® Racing developed with the worlds very best. It is a re-engineered and modified twin cylinder four stroke engine. It produces the power for both lift and thrust in a most efficient way. The airflow created by the fan is directed underneath to create the lift and when the craft lifts from the ground, it then becomes part of the air flow travelling directly through the wind tunnel in order to create thrust and thus the product moves forward at very high speed. This is due in part to having very little friction as is found on conventional vehicles as there is no contact with the ground. This is what provides the Hoverpod® with so much fun as the vehicle has no contact with the earth, it is able to travel across almost any flat surface such as water, ice, mud, sand of land with no real loss in power.
In the Wind Tunnel Section, something that is very top secret at this stage but I am cleared to provide you with some basic information that will certainly excite the petrol heads amongst you all. Valentines Day with F1 Hoverpod Racing
February 2011 and "All is Well". Valentines Day came and went and for most parts everyone survived. January as always appears to be 300 days long and never enough hours in the day to keep up but the good news is that progress as always keeps moving forward even through the cold winter days and nights.
In the UK, the weather has caused some disruption but only for those who look for excuses, for those with a positive outlook it mearly provides a bit of a challenge.
The design team become a little grumpy in the early part of the year due to the lack of anything to play around with although I'm told the Ex Box has a new top score which may provide some insight as to January in 2011.
F1 Hoverpod Ltd has developed much interest for the concept from both sides of the Pond and it's pleasing to see the huge interest from Argentina and Chille where the product has many features that suit the local terrain very well.
You may reall that I mentioned late into 2010 that an "All New Forum" was being built and launched in 2011, I'm pleased to announce that the forum is now in full opperation and open for new members to launch their chat freely with F1 Hoverpod Racing and can be found "Here"
